Label-Check &
Marketability Testing

Legal compliance of labels, either for food or non-food, facilitates consumer buying decision. It is crucial for producers to sell their products effectively and to avoid withdrawals and recall from the market. Growing consumer awareness and increasing allergies and intolerances require complete and correct labeling & declaration. As a producer, retailer, supplier, or distributor, you are responsible for ensuring that your product is safe and in accordance with legal requirements considering mandatory declaration elements such as product name, list of ingredients, additives, health claims, packaging layout, BBD, etc.

27 EU countries and an European-wide harmonized legislation on foods that applies throughout Europe? Yes, but that does not always align with daily challenges and reality. Furthermore, in addition to the EU-regulations, special regulations apply for food labeling in each country. Therefore, to meet the export standards, it is mandatory to check the compliance of the declaration with the specific regulations of the countries of sale. This requires a lot of time and patience in the turnaround process to assure the compliance of the product with the regulations. In other words, this implies additional human capital and costs.

We assist you in the label-check of your products to assure that not only your labels meet the EU and country-specific regulations (EU-wide and worldwide, 35 countries) but that it is also safe for consumers. We issue a certificate of marketability after successful assessment.
